         Have you ever wondered where all that stuff on the internet comes from? Sure, a portion of it is produced by college trained professionals...but the bulk of it is by amateurs. In most cases when it's home grown, it is simply a matter where someone knows something they think is so important or interesting that it is worth going to the trouble to share it with others. Oft times this requires expending college level effort to learn just how to go about sharing their information and pictures on a web page.
     Here at GetCalhoun.com, our mission is to give the good folks of Calhoun County an easy way to share the information, history, news, and whatever else that they think other folks would like to know. Our constant belief is that everyone (more or less) knows something. You would be amazed at the interesting things you know that others don't. Think about that for a minute.
     It has always amazed GC that Calhoun County (Insert your own government office or business) so very often looks outside the county for expertise when they can find it right here at home, often with about as much success as a cat has chasing its own tail.
