Get Ready to Travel. Your Vacation of a Lifetime
Travel Advice for the New Traveler
If you have never
traveled, you are shorting
yourself of a God given pleasure that you are entitled to during our
short stay on earth. More, like the man that never took time to read
a book, or study math beyond the number ten, the world you think
you are living in doesn't exist, for there is much more out there
than you can divine by keeping your universe local.
Almost anyone, at some point in their lives can
travel. If you're daddy doesn't own
the plant, or you don't have a government job, you can still save
your pennies, dimes, and nickels by putting them into a traveling
fund...not to be touched, except for dire emergency. Even if your
situation is up and down, as it seems to be with many of us in our
modern times...sometimes you are up, and you can increase your
traveling fund greatly during the good times. This is a sound
strategy for eventually expanding your world.
The kind of traveling I'm talking about does not mean
the kind you do from home to the beach once a year. A 2000 mile road
trip...now there is traveling. You would be surprised what you
didn't know about what two states over looks like. Actually, many
may be surprised about what two towns over looks like. Forever
staying on the same familiar pavement may be comforting, but you
don't have it to do. Even the poorest of us have friends with cars.
Perhaps a visit to the nearest mountains or rivers would be an eye
opener for some. Well enough for the total local piker, but I'm urging more.

Have
a Destination In Mind...

Lagoinha Beach in
Brazil...Been there. Done that. You can too. |
Before you save a penny, you should have a destination
in mind. How about a road trip from Alabama to Colorado, or Colorado
to Florida? You could fly it in a couple of hours, but the real fun
and learning would be to see it from the ground, where there is
adventure around every curve. Your plans might include researching
rental cars and what you want to do along the way and when you get
to your destination. Since you're keeping it in the USA, you don't
have to worry too much about language or local customs. (Though,
depending, you may just be in for an education.)
As fun as a car cruise in America is, why not stretch
right on out and plan big. Make plans to visit another country.
My
first foreign visit was to Mobile, Alabama where I first tasted
ocean water, got my first jellyfish sting, and saw a Popeye the
sailor kind of person with a peg leg eating a bowl of lunch chili at
a seedy restaurant right out of a film noir movie. Looking back,
it's all black and white now. Memories.
My second out of country experience was a visit to
Brazil. I fell madly in love with the place, as all visitors do,
and went so far as to run a Brazil travel agency for awhile. It was
thus that I learned the rest of the story about how to correctly
plan for a Vacation of a Lifetime.
The first thing to do is to choose a destination. It
mustn't be a half-hearted destination. It must be the travel
destination of your dreams, of your very soul.
The second thing to
do is to start your travel fund. You will be amazed how quickly the
money grows when you have a destination and a goal in mind.
The third thing to do, as the time draws nigh, is to
negotiate your trip. Even the man whose daddy owns the plant can
benefit by on the ground intelligence beyond what he can learn in
the library and internet.
It used to be that your choice of travel purveyor was
whatever travel agencies were in town or within driving distance. If
your agent was good, and had been to your destination, so much the
better. If the agent was just good, they still had the resources to
set up your trip for you, as long as you pretty much accepted what
they were offering.
Nowadays, things are sooooo vastly much better and
different. You can collaborate with the actual people who will greet
you when you arrive at your foreign location, if that is your
desire. This is the way half the moneyed seasoned travelers do it.
The other half proceed with what I am about to impart to you. They
let the folks who know take care of the details. Yes, it sounds a
lot like going to your local travel agent, but this is not so. What
you do is go to
Tripology . Depending on what you tell them, they
will select the best 3 travel specialists out of a pool of (at this
writing, 12,000) to help you with the arrangements.
Basically, you
send all three to a room with no windows or lights, armed only with
their computer terminals, and lock the door. You may hear shoutings and clangings, and see a seepage of blood from beneath the
door jamb from time to time. Ignore this. After awhile you will hear
a knock. The travel specialist that emerges alive will be the one
you use.
Actually, in complete truth, they will fight to be the
one you choose to make the arrangements for your trip. However, they
will do it with information and pricing.

You could spend the rest of
the year researching, and you wouldn't come up
with a faster,
cleaner, nicer travel solution than that offered by
Tripology .

You could spend the rest of the year researching,
and you wouldn't come up with a faster, cleaner, nicer travel
solution than that offered by
Tripology . Your
only problem will be to select which specialist or specialists you
want to use, after they get through knocking themselves out to help
you.
How much does this cost, you ask?
Well, nothing. Unless and until you
purchase services, all that "wanting to help" business is 100% free.
It's like having an unpaid staff whose only desire is to help you
succeed with your travel plans.
Let me lay out a scenario for you...
-
You have chosen a travel destination.
You know where you want to go and have begun your travel fund.
- You contact Tripology
and get hooked up with the expert
travel specialists.
Now you know a great many details, and you also have your money
goal too.
- You reach your money goal and you know when you can go on
your Vacation of a Lifetime.
You contact your favorite travel specialist(s) again, or go back
to Tripology and get 3 more.
There are a few things I can tell
you up front to help you understand the process of getting ready
for travel. Assuming you are planning a trip to another country,
most likely you will need a passport. This you will get from the
government here.
Then, closer to departure time, for most countries, you
will need to get a visa. You get those from their
government located in a consulate or embassy here. Don't worry,
it has been successfully done before by others. You can do it
too.
Where the power of your chosen travel specialist comes
to play is that they will set you up with the folks at your
destination who will make it all happen. When your plane lands,
someone from the "local receptive" will meet you at the airport
and transport you to your hotel. Then, later your tour guide
will work your travel plan with you. You will be petted and
pampered, and thoroughly never want to go home. This is where
your relationship with your chosen travel expert really pays
off. It gives you your Vacation of a Lifetime with a minimum of
muss and fuss.
Personally, I have had my Vacation of a Lifetime. So, I
can heartily recommend that you have yours too. Then, later,
maybe, you will write an article or two and urge others to have
theirs.
Below, you can see some of my travel stuff. It's all
mine. I like talking travel. You will too.
