Community advertising is most often found in larger cities and towns around the nation. Larger towns have a public relations department, often tasked with doing a great many things like routing out the local softball teams, and many other duties that have NOTHING to do with promoting the town.
On the other hand, if your town, and I don't care how small it is, desires to beat the curve and become recognized around the world, then I can help. The key is having the desire. I can help your town in two important ways...I can help in two ways to advertise your town. First, I can handle it for you. Secondly, I train a city employee or a fired up volunteer in the methods of promoting your situation. Most often, a town comes across a little money and it hires a fancy pants advertising agency from New York. They fly them into town and feed them better than they can eat themselves. The ad agency sticks around long enough to make some notes, and then presents the town with a three ring binder full of suggestions and a classy CD to go along with it. It's pure posh! It's for show! Perhaps it's a sincere effort, and perhaps not, but most often the binder and CD are filed and that's that. The money is gone and there is nothing to show for it. If this, as a city official, is your goal, again, I can't help you. You're wasting my time and the time of your constituents. You're pulling a phoney baloney fast one on the public to keep your phoney baloney job. I'm not interested in taking even five minutes of my time with you. On the other hand, if you are sincere, and want what's best for your town, and have someone that I can work with, I'll make you my JOB #1. I'll either do the job myself, or train up your employee or volunteer to do the job themselves. The second option is cheaper, and if the person is for real, you will be amazed at what they can accomplish.

Personally, I have always never understood why, when a community decides to do something about their blight, the first thing they do is turn to someone out of state to help...Someone who could really care less. A nine to fiver on their next job.
Believe what you will about me, and if you think I'm just blowing smoke, so be it. But I am telling you now that I can train up someone who cares, whether it is paid or volunteer right there in your community to become a powerhouse of information to the world about your town.
Whether or not you use my services, of course, is up to you and the local city fathers, town council, whatever. If your local Chamber of Commerce is handling the job, then GREAT. But then, if that's the case...what are you doing here reading this?
The two things that will make your community campaign a success, if at all possible, is two people who care. I'm one of them. You find my opposite number there local and hook them up with me, and we will make magic.
Since you're here reading this, I have had at least this much success. Before you close this page down and wander off to the next thing, let me make a proposal to you. If you can just walk away, then either I'm not getting my point across to you, or you aren't receptive. It's one or the other.
If, on the other hand you close down and you're still thinking about what you have read here tomorrow or the next day, then I HAVE made my point.
Give me a chance to put bread on the table for your constituents and
friends there locally. Most who view this page won't. Will you be the one? Will you?
Below are a handful of videos. Get some coffee and watch them. They are just brief overviews. The meat comes when you sign up for my services.
I know what I'm doing, and I can show you what I know...then you or a volunteer can go do it. What I will show you is not what you think, and it's not as hard as you think, but it is time consuming. That's the bad news. The good news is that a little sincere and serious effort can pay off in ways that are the stuff of dreams to a struggling community in need of help.
So, is your community to the place where what I have to offer sounds like something to look into? I fully expect that the fat ones, the ones who are flush, could care less. There, my words will most certainly fall on deaf ears.
Is your town so prosperous or without imagination that it doesn't need help? Or is there someone there who bright enough and young enough (in their drive and energy) that has the willingness, drive, and guts to put a successful town promotion campaign into production?
| Lastly. Don't worry your town size... I will equalize. |
